Work number 1: At the Beach

This is some line art that I added some color to in photoshop, I also added an anime style beach in the background. I based the colors off of a character made by a friend of mine on Tumblr. I would've liked to make the eyes a lot more detailed and some of the lining in the hair is grey and I feel like the ribbon on the left side is a bit off. I also wish that I could add some shading to the hair but when i tried....it looked like there were leafs in her hair. I'd love some criticism and advice on how to make it better, and some instructions on how to do the shading of the hair and make the iris' (whatever the plural of iris is) of the eyes better.

What should be my career?

This is a question asked by people of all grades, even those who are in college or even some adults still don't know what to have as there career. 

Even I myself don't quite know myself what I want for my future, for a few years I thought about being a voice actor, how ever I realized I shouldn't pigeon hole myself so I should aim for being an actor. However that kind of business is one of the most difficult and inconsistent jobs in the world, everyone is your competition. 

I once got to a panel hosted by Bryce Papenbrook, during it he stated that "anyone who books one out of a hundred auditions is doing extremely well in this business". He stated himself that some of the reasons he's gotten some jobs is because he was in the right place at the right time. 

With that in mind I'm uncertain if I want to become an actor, but if I don't then nothing will really be lost. As of now I still don't know what i want to be or even what lies ahead in life...

But as long as I'm having fun I don't give a damn ;)

Life is all about enjoying it and helping others enjoy it too, thats my philosophy anyway

I'll find my dream job one day. And when I do, I know a certain special someone will be waiting for me

Should I focus on more Than Just Anime?

I want to branch out from just anime and expand my horizons.

 I often find that I get boxed into a corner when making posts for this Anime exclusive blog. I'm more than just an otaku, but I'm still a functioning member of society with more interests outside of anime despite what people think.

But people have only seem the side of the that talks about anime 'cause I'm usually talking about only anime with people in school because its one of the very few things we have in common. that's why I want to make this a place for everyone and not just anime fans.

I will still occasionally post anime related blogs and the like but I want those keep them to a minimum, I don't want this blog to focus on just anime forever because I'll just keep pigeon holing myself

 Its just easier this way...I hope you all will understand.

How did I get into Anime?

I got into anime at the age 10 when the series "DragonBall Z Kai" first showed up on Nicktoons, I was hooked the moment I heard the theme song. 

But I didn't really get into much more of the other shows until I was flipping through the channels and found the "Funimation Channel". 

I saw random episodes of other shows but I didn't really find a show that I started from the beginning. I didn't watch another anime from the beginning until I found a show called "Baka and Test" 

It was a hilarious show that I would highly recommend to anyone from middle school and beyond. But aside from "DragonBall Z Kai" and "Baka and Test" I couldn't call myself an anime fan...

...until the day I found "Fairy Tail"!! This is the show that got me back into anime and what got me to watch more, not only this but it also helped me find my dream to become an actor/ voice actor.

Anime fans and Cosplayers could become Criminals by the Trans-Pacific Partnership!?

Before you turn away and think I'm making mountains out of ant hills, I recommend you read the following article HERE and the article linked in said article HERE both of which referring to the current issue with the Trans-Pacific Partnership. 

Now you see the issue, if this new law passes it will royally screw any creative part of a fandom, NOT JUST IN ANIME!!! Any fan made artwork by fans of a show of an already existing Character (Again, not just anime) will be considered a crime even if the original owners don't file a complaint! But its not just art, any animated music videos, fan made songs, cosplay, fan made merchandise, or any other derivative work can and will fall under criminal offense. As well fan made subtitle groups will be hit, and whats worse is that the punishments will be too severe for the crime!

Luckily however a lot of people such as Mangaka (author of Japanese comics) Ken Akamatsu have been protesting the TPP's intellectual property secretariat. Many Mangaka see fan works as free exposure and have good relationships with friends.

Today I have a question for you:
"What anime would you all like me to review/watch?"

REVIEWS

As for anime I can review for you, you can see the list of all the anime I've seen in my life and chose one from among those. Of the ones you chose I will give a detailed review of the show and offer it a grade based on Story, Characters, Animation, Music, and Performances by Voice Actors.

I'll also be giving a shout out to a character of my choice that may or may not be my favorite from the show. Also depending on the show I could potentially talk about my favorite ship/couple if the situation calls for it. If there's anything else you'd like me to discuss in my reviews I'd be happy to hear, I'm always open to suggestions. 

RECOMMENDATIONS

You may request any anime you like for me to watch but you must keep these things in mind;

- The anime in question has to have less than 30 episodes

- It must be available online (preferably Hulu or YouTube)

- If the anime has a dub I will watch it dubbed, if it only has a sub then I will watch it subbed. However if there is only a sub but a dub has been announced then I will wait until the dub comes out

This summer I went to Katsucon 2015 and was able to meet the great Bryce Papenbrook. For those who don't know, he is an accomplished voice actor who's played many popular roles such as;
- Kirito from "Sword art online"
- Makoto Naegi, Komaeda Nagito "Danganronpa series"
- Masaomi Kida "Durarara series"
- Eren Yeager "Attack on Titan"
- Staz Blood "Blood Lad"
- Caesar Anthonio Zeppeli "JoJo's Bizarre adventures"
- Red "Pokemon Origins"
- Rin Okumura "Blue Exorcist"
At the convention during one of his panels a fan requested him to do the Kamehameha in Staz's voice and IT WAS AMAZING!!!

 He is a really nice person and does a great job in all of his roles, he instantly tries to know as much about his shows and games he works on as possible and is in my opinion the life of a party.
