My Stan Lee Story

My Stan Lee Story

I'm gonna tell you an important story, a story that is probably one of the greatest moments in my life, the time me and Stan Lee exchanged mail....Yes, this actually happened, and I have photographic evidence. So, lets start from the beginning.

It all began in the summer of 2014, I was auctioning art to an organization for artists with autism. For one of my pictures, I drew a picture of Stan Lee (creator of many popular Marvel Comics Characters) with some of his most popular heroes

It sold for over $100!! I was not only satisfied but thrilled, what happened next is something that I never thought would happen.

My mom sent a picture of the drawing to POW Entertainment on Facebook, no more than a week later she got a response saying that they wanted me to make another one and send it to Stan Lee and have him sign it

....just...WOW!!

So I immediately got to making another one, as close to the original one as possible but slightly better. I was successful in making another one, my mom suggested that I send him one of my comicbooks and ask if he could sign it.

So I sent the picture with my mint condition copy of Spiderman #361, the first appearance of my favorite Marvel Villain...Carnage!!

Several weeks passed and we heard nothing back, my mom contacted them and got a reply after a while. They said that that Stan liked it so much he wanted to keep it, however my comicbook...got lost in the mail. I was Destroyed inside!! I lost one of my favorite comicbooks ever!!

But then, we got another reply, Stan said that in exchange for the drawing that he would give me something in exchange. An item from his own personal collection.

Just when I get one shock, then another, I get one more!! I was so excited that I could barely sleep till it arrived. Then a few days later, it finally arrived

Spiderman #1...Varient art...with Stan Lee on the cover...signed by all the artists and him...with a 9.8 from the CPC...

Just...I was speechless...

And thats the story, have you ever gotten to meet the man himself?
Let me know
