What can you say about Bryce Papenbrook?
Well...a lot actually, today we'll be looking into the life and career of the Voice actor: Bryce Papenbrook.
So, Where should we begin? Well lets start with how this big name got into the buisness, with his father "Bob Papenbrook"
For those who don't know, Bob Papenbrook was also voice actor and is mostly remembered for his anime and video game voice overs most notibly Zhang Fei (Dynasty warriors 4), J (Heat Guy J) and his work on the Power Rangers franchise mainly as the major villain Rito Revolto.
According to Bryce, when he was 8 years old he went to work with his father one day when he was working on Power Rangers. At the end of his recording session the director said to his father "Hey, we need a kids voice" to which his father replied "He's a kid, throw 'em in the booth!". and thats how he got in to voice acting.
Bryce had a slow slope for his first decade in the buisness, until he booked the role of Rin Okumura in "Blue Exorcist" (Ao no Exorcist). one he got his name out, his career exploded!! He got role after role once he was on Blue Exorcist and a decent number of major roles.
Bryce has played a large amount of characters in Anime alone so well cover some of his more popular ones from shows, games, etc. I would recommend.
Bryce's first big role came in the form of the afore mentioned Rin, Bryce has stated that he is most like Rin when Rin is happy and that he is one of his favorite characters to play.
The next one well be covering is Kirito from the "Sword Art Online" franchise. Bryce states the Kirito is "the true hero type of character" and says that if anyone was to fight in Kirito inside of a video game that Kirito would win no matter what.
Probably his most popular role as of late, Eren Yeager from "Attack on Titan" was a unique experience for Byrce. As many Fans know Eren has a deep, burning hatred inside his heart, however his inspiration was both convenient and inconvenient for him. According to Bryce, he had a special and delicious granola that he was looking forward to eating. However....when he got home he found that his dogs had eaten the granola and used his rage from that incident (as well as traffic) as his way to get in to character for Eren.....Um...next
Masaomi Kida from "Durarara!!" is always fun for Bryce. As fans know, he has a lot of cheesy and funny pick up lines and is definitely an easy one for him to get into...considering he makes up his own pick up lines just for fun...wow...thats dedication. He's also stated that his favorite lines from the show are......oh boy...."Live by the booby, die by the booby"....ugh....
Over all Bryce is a great actor, a great person to the fans and just an overall nice guy. If you haven't seen any of his work i would highly recommend you do.
And with that said, I bid you all
Adieu
