What Super Hero Do I Want To See Hit The Mainstream?
There have been a lot of super hero movies hitting theaters lately, and a lot of obscure heres becoming household names as of late. So, who do I want to see get a lot of attention?
THE CROW
This is the story of a young man named Eric Draven. He and His fiancee Shelly, were assaulted by a gang of street thugs after their car broke down after a day at the beach. Eric was shot in the back of the head and paralyzed as he could only watch as his beloved was raped and violently beaten to death.
Eric believed that when people die, a crow carries their spirits to the land of the dead, but sometimes the soul carries a great sadness and cannot rest, and sometimes...the crow can bring the soul back and set the wrong things right. And one year later he is now resurrected by a crow and seeks vengeance on the peopled who killed him and Shelly, as he hunts them down and kills them in equally if not worse ways and finally let him and Shelly rest in peace at last...
This Character did have a live action movie back in 1994, portrayed magnificently by the late great Brandon Lee, however I'd like to see another one in this day and age
This story would not be for the squeamish as you can guess, it has plenty of violence, blood, Drugs, etc. However there is a great message in this story which is one that all people should learn and know, "It can't Rain all the time", what it means is that no matter how horrible the times may seem, it WILL always get better.
The Character of Eric Draven is a genuinely unique kind of character, his personality is very solid and his back story truly makes you sympathize with him and care for him. He was about to start a new life and enjoy that life with the one person he cared about the most, but it was taken away before he had the chance. The story also has a unique take on the revenge plot we've seen many times before though. With a character like batman, you wouldn't want him to kill cause he still has a life and future ahead of him. With Eric However, that situation doesn't apply, because the universe is pretty much telling him "Hey dude, you had a rough time, I'm not gonna let this go cause these guys deserve to die, and their gonna, and just cause I'm a decent guy I'm gonna let you do it however you see fit, go nuts! See you in a few days." However he's not a psychopath like you'd think, he's genuinely a nice person, he always tells people to have a nice day and to care for the things they have, because life is so important to keep.
So guys and gals, let me know what you think, would you like to see this movie? Who would you want to play the crow?
